Special Class Sponsorship Program

Over the past few years, The First Day of School Foundation has made donations to New Jersey schools as they welcomed young students with special needs into the Special Education setting. With that in mind, we would like to invite your school to participate in our Special Class Sponsorship Grant Program by nominating a classroom in your school.
We’re looking for classrooms, students, and teachers who exemplify the values our son Eli embodied; those of loving school and doing work to be proud of. This program will provide $1000 gifts to nominated classrooms to be spent in support of current or incoming students with special needs. To be considered, all you need to do is complete the SCSP Nomination Form by following the link above. Please include a brief, written description of the intended uses for the awarded funds. For the 2024-2025 school year our goal is to grant 25 sponsorships to deserving classrooms and for that we will need your help. Please use the link to nominate someone today! Please email any questions to [email protected]. My wife and I are both teachers, and we know many schools participate in Dress-Down Fridays in support of local charities. Those kinds of fundraising efforts go a long way towards keeping many local foundations up and running, and we’d be honored if you would consider including the First Day of School Foundation in any such events your school conducts. The funds you raise can be sent to The First Day of School Foundation, 11 Morningside Dr. Pennington, NJ 08534 and we’d be happy to earmark donations for the Special Class Sponsorship Program.
